Ready to Move In?

The move to a personal care home can be a very stressful experience which requires a period of adjustment for both residents and families. When staff are aware of both past and present experiences and likes and dislikes, they can make the adjustment smoother.


Prior to admission, you and/or your family will need to have a site tour and interview with the Site Manager, and complete following documents:

You can choose your suite from the available suites, although certain suites will be more suitable than others depending on your health and mobility situation. If safety or medical concerns come up during your stay, you may be moved to a different room within the facility.

Move-In Process Overview

Moving into a personal care home can be stressful, but our staff are here to help ease the transition by understanding your needs and preferences.

Before Admission

  • Site tour and interview with the Site Manager.
  • Completion of necessary documents: Application Form, Health Information Authorization.

Upon Admission

  • Completion of various documents outlining rights, responsibilities, and agreements.
  • Payment of a one-time Registration Fee, partially non-refundable based on length of stay.

Required Documents Upon Admission

Community Living Agreement

This agreement ensure that you understand the rights and responsibilities of living at the Linden Lodge. Living in community with other people is not always easy, so guidelines are necessary to promote harmonious living.

Tenancy Agreement

If you have not invested in a Life Lease at the Linden Lodge you are considered a tenant, and as such are also required to sign a Residential Tenancy Agreement. This Agreement and your tenancy are regulated by the Residential Tenancies Act, Alberta.

Upon admission, you will be required to complete and sign the following documents.

FOIP form for photography

This document is simply a consent for your photograph to be used in our marketing. Generally, that would be in a group setting showing the activities we do at the Linden Lodge.

Pre-Authorized Debit Agreement

This is so we can deduct your monthly rental and fees from your bank account.

Confirmation of contents insurance

Every Resident must have insurance that covers replacement of their contents as well as 3rd-party liability for a minimum of $1,000,000.

Copy of Personal Directive

The Personal Directive designates someone who can make decisions on your behalf if you are unable to speak for yourself.

Registration Fee

A one-time Registration Fee is due and payable to the Linden Benevolent Society upon submitting the Application Form. Upon moving in, the Registration Fee becomes partially non-refundable. If a resident should move out within 30 days, they will receive 50% of the fee back. After 30 days an additional $50.00 per month becomes non-refundable for a maximum of 5 months. After 6 months of living in the Linden Lodge the Registration Fee becomes fully non-refundable.

The Registration Fees are as follows:

Studio Suite - $500

Deluxe Suite - $750

Condo-style Suite - $1,000
