The Answers You Need
Is there a waitlist to get in?
Currently, we have some suites available, but don't delay because we are often full up!
Do you offer nursing care?
We are a retirement home, so we don't have full-time nursing care. Alberta Health Services provides home care upon request and we do have nurses through that program that come in to provide injections and oversee the Health Care Aides that are onsite.
How much does it cost?
Our pricing is based on many different things, but it starts at $1,345 per month for a studio suite and goes up from there depending on the size of the suite and whether it is for a single or a couple.
What kinds of social activities are there?
Besides regular bingo and rook nights, we have an exercise class, birthday dinners and we celebrate all the special holidays. In addition, we have two libraries, a puzzle table, pool table, board games, church services and coffee time at 10:30 am and 3:00 pm. Due to COVID-19, our activities are somewhat restricted, but we are planning lots more fun once the restrictions relax a bit!
What is the food like?
Our fantastic cooks produce excellent home-cooked comfort food meals fully vetted by a certified nutritionist. In addition to three solid meals per day, there are snacks available 24 hours per day. These range from cookies and muffins to sandwiches, cheese, juice, and of course, coffee and tea.
What are the admission requirements?
We require a completed application form, a doctor's report on the resident's level of independence, a registration fee and a personal interview with the Site Manager.
Which AHS supportive living level are you?
We are a Seniors Lodge, which is Designated Supportive Living 2.
